INTEGRATED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

ROSHNI Organization is implementing its programs to strengthen and sustain the overall status of women in the society through integrated programmatic approaches. ROSHNI envisage the women’s social, economic, political empowerment through social mobilization, institutional

Strengthening, information dissemination, capacity building of community groups and organizations. ROSHNI initiate the community development program with the following steps.

  • Initial Introductory Visit
  • Orientation Meeting
  • Formation of Community Organizations
  • Mobilization of Community Organizations
  • Capacity Building of Community Organizations.

Process of change can only start even from one individual but it cannot be kept without involving the concerned. ROSHNI Organization is devoted to maximize the potential of the community to take hold of its own development.

 FORMATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS: CBO/CCBs

cboROSHNI Organization has been working since 1992 in community development and has gained enough experience in community mobilization, development, and social organization to generalize for future policy. The formation of Women Organizations has provided plate from to the women to come together, raise their collective concerns, and take collective actions to negotiate better living conditions for themselves.

In short, we can argue that making community (as a whole) vocal and vigilant is perhaps the only way forward for sustainable development at grass root level. This ensures accountability and transparency not only at community level but also paved the way for a democratic culture at the local level. ROSHNI Organization has formed 5 (five) Women Organizations at community level to work as a pressure group for the solution of their problems. At present ROSHNI is going to arrange different training’s for the capacity building of these Women Organizations with the cooperation of its partners

SKILL TRAINING PROGRAM

skk2 skkROSHNI started skill – training program entitled Women Income Generation Program with the collaboration of ZDF. The modes of traditional social organization are not compatible with the needs of new forms of social & political organization.     ROSHNI facilitated and mobilized local community in order to create a focal point for development interventions.

ROSHNI is imparting, “ Craft & Garment Training” to poor community women under Women Income Generation Program (Hunar Ghar) with the support of National Urban poverty Alleviation Programme (NUPAP) project of UNDP. In the last one & half year through this program more than two hundred women got craft & garment training who not only availed this training opportunity but enhanced their capacity in different fields.   Above than hundred women are getting training in the following vocations Multani Embroidery, Rajhistani Embroidery, Blue Pottery, Rili Work, block Printing, Zari Work, Raita Work, Kurashia Work, Multani Khussa, Chunri & Tie / Dye Work and Dress Designing & Stitching.

TRAININGS OF MICRO ENTREPRENEURSHIP

miccROSHNI Organization is imparting this training program in its communities. Various sorts of skills have been introduced under this sector.   Women are getting this training under a schedule strategy. Training of micro entrepreneurship along with skill training will act as financial pillar for poor women.   ROSHNI has also imparted different training’s under this program to the other NGO representatives at district level with the collaboration of PCAT (Pakistan Council for Appropriate Technology).

MICRO CREDIT PROGRAMME

creditRoshni has major focus on poverty Alleviation. In this context ROSHNI initiated micro credit programme wit 20 female with support of UNDP. One small loan scheme was also introduced by ROSHNI. After Experience of first two project Roshni staff got training from “Assasa” in Multan Office and initiated an other micro credit programme is in progress and implementing in group landing methodology. Roshni is abide by the rules and regulations of Pakistan. Recovery rate is 100 % percent.
